Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA)
Under this contract, PPI provides a broad
range of important services in the area of procurement and
administrative support. Among its many responsibilities,
PPI prepares, coordinates, processes, and distributes MIPRs
(Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests); coordinates
and reconciles award reports and end of the fiscal year
funding reports with the Office of Finance and Accounting;
and provides general support and assistance in the contract
closeout function.

US Geological
Survey (USGS)
|
- is responsible
for analyzing multiple types of mineral industry surveys
and designing new survey processing systems or modify
existing automated systems, consistent with established
Bureau automated systems design concepts.

- Prepares
new or updates existing functional requirements, design
specifications, test specifications, and user documentation
in conformity to Bureau standards (FIPS #38 and #64).
Additionally, PPI identifies hardware and software
potentially useful for improving systems operations.

- Conducts
formal and/or informal training for users at USGS
facilities and when new features are added or existing
components are modified, the PPI conducts training
on them.

- Performs
unit testing, module testing, and systems testing
for AIMS. In addition to unit testing individual programs,
PPI fully tests all programs logically connected as
systems modules or subsystems.

is to perform activities related to the NIH call center
which is a computerized system connected to a large
multi-line hunt group providing caller and trunk line
identification. PPI provides a contract manager and
full complement of Call Attendants, including Supervisors
to support the NIH Campus and remote office locations.

bioinformatics techniques to their research. PPI programmers
work closely with scientists in designing, verifying,

and serves as the first-line customer service representative
for assisting IRP personnel with various types of
PC and LAN-based software programs, such as Microsoft
Office, EndNote, Windows 95/98, Windows NT, Exchange,
and Outlook.

- the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry
(ATSDR);
- the Management Analysis and Services Office (MASO);

- the National Center for Infectious Diseases (NCID).

Firearms and Explosives (ATF)

Under this
contract, PPI is responsible for providing task support
services for ATF’s Office of Science and Technology (OST). This contract is for network management support.
Network management support is necessary for a variety of computer and communication equipment.
Examples of this equipment are: UNIX servers, Microsoft Windows servers, Cisco routers and switches, frame relay lines, T1 lines, and
PBX systems.

Census Bureau
|
|
Under this contract, PPI computer
repair engineers perform repair, maintenance, relocation
and support of all Census-owned desktop computing
equipment. This entails approximately 6,000 desktop
computers, network printers and associated equipment.
The desktop computers are primarily Dell. The servers
are both Dell and Compaq, and the printers are Hewlett
Packard. PPI also supports other manufacturers' equipment,
in smaller quantities.
